If you can’t get it working then head to YouTube - I checked and there’s lots of guides on different ways to pull off a virtual desktop in windows 10.If you can think it, you can make it with Photoshop CC, the world’s best imaging and design app. It also looks better when you’ve got a clean desktop with your stream logo as the background imo. My only suggestion would be to put any and all personal files in a separate folder on your desktop so that you don’t leak any information accidentally. Say you want to verify a link you’re sent before it goes on stream, throw it on your desktop and mute the desktop sound - scrub through it and if it’s cool then slide it back to the obs screen and unmute. There’s so many uses for this with streaming. If you extend the desktop as described in this article then you can easily use the windows +arrow keys to move applications from your actual desktop to the “obs desktop”. I also couldn’t get many of the adobe applications to capture in obs (ps/illustrator/ae) so this worked perfectly. The gaming rig has a virtual desktop that I use for pc gaming so that email/discord etc notifications don’t pop up in obs even though I see them on my screen. I personally use this method in a dual pc setup with each pc having its own monitor. You’ll have to go down the rabbit hole yourself if so - but it can be done. There’s honestly multiple ways to do this if this doesn’t work for you. Thanks to /u/iTruthful and Conceptional for the art!
